It's a nice thing to follow a tradition.  You can be a rebel forever, and good luck trying.  Aristotle's deep point about all human beings, born, as he believed, "neutral between good and evil," is well-heeded (and certainly, if I could read dead mens' minds, well-intended); but so, too, is the idea of original sin (as I've learned through my pure, innocent, toddler.  Right.).

Upon reflection, I tend to side with Aristotle.  Not because he's absolutely "correct," but because it provides me with a moral compass that guides me in the education of my sons and, sometimes, of others.  Education is not what it often flaunts itself to be.  -LF
